Cooking for two instead of six, or feeding a crowd? Paste your ingredient list, set the servings you need, and every amount is recalculated. Below it you will find a cups-to-grams converter for common baking ingredients and an oven temperature converter.
Scale a recipe
Multiply everything by -
Cups to grams
- grams
That is about - ounces.
Oven temperature
For a fan (convection) oven, most recipes work well about 25°F / 15°C lower.
Tips for scaling recipes
Ingredient amounts scale well, but cooking times and pan sizes do not. When you double a bake, use two pans rather than one deep one, and start checking for doneness at the original time. Go gently with salt, spices and raising agents when scaling up a lot, then adjust to taste.
About cups and grams
A cup measures volume and a gram measures weight, so the conversion depends on the ingredient. The converter uses widely published average weights for each ingredient. How you fill the cup changes the result, so for baking a kitchen scale is always the most reliable.
