Copyright & DMCA

Life With Mira respects the work of designers, photographers and writers. This page explains how we feature other people’s work and what to do if you want something changed or taken down.

How we feature patterns

Much of what you see on Life With Mira is our own writing, projects and photography. Some round-up posts also introduce patterns by independent designers. For each of those we show a single preview image, name the source and link directly to the original pattern page. We never copy another designer’s instructions, charts or PDFs; readers visit the designer’s own site to get the pattern.

If you are a designer or photographer

If your work appears on Life With Mira and you would like the credit corrected, a different image used, or the feature removed completely, tell us through the contact page and choose “Credit, copyright or removal request”. You do not need to send a formal legal notice. We handle these requests first, usually within two working days.

Formal DMCA notice

If you prefer to send a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, please include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of the copyrighted work;
  • the exact URL on lifewithmira.com where the material appears;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

Send the notice through the contact page. Once we receive a complete notice we will remove or disable access to the material promptly.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice with your contact details, the location of the removed material and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe it was removed in error.
