Ingredients
1 cup eggnog
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup spiced rum
1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
24 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
1. Brew a strong cup of espresso or coffee and let it cool completely.
2. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
3. In another bowl, beat together the mascarpone, eggnog, and spiced rum until smooth.
4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the eggnog-mascarpone mixture.
5. Quickly dip ladyfingers one by one into the cooled coffee and line them in a dish.
6. Spread half of the eggnog cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
9. Dust with cinnamon and nutmeg before serving.
10. Optional: top with shaved white chocolate for extra flair.
Notes
Use good-quality eggnog for the best flavor and texture.
Don’t oversoak the ladyfingers in coffee—just a quick dip will do.
Chilling overnight helps the layers meld beautifully and keeps the dessert firm when serving.
