Whether you’re looking for healthy snack alternatives or new dessert ideas, this recipe is a keeper. Great for Christmas baking, gifting, or simply to enjoy with your favorite warm drink.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon orange zest

1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup dried cranberries

2/3 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

1. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

2. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.

5. Fold in the cranberries and white chocolate chunks.

6. Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour.

7. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

8. Scoop dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on the sheet.

9. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

10. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use chopped white chocolate from a bar instead of chips.

Don’t skip chilling the dough—it helps the cookies hold their shape and enhances flavor.

You can freeze the dough balls and bake them straight from the freezer—just add 1–2 minutes to the baking time.
