Description

Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake is a cool, creamy, no-bake dessert layered with fluffy angel food cake, sweet strawberry filling, vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and fresh berries. It is an easy recipe for summer parties, potlucks, birthday desserts, quick dessert ideas, family gatherings, and sweet food ideas when you want something light, fruity, and beautiful without baking from scratch.

Ingredients

1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes

1 can 21 ounces strawberry pie filling

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

1 box 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix

1 1/2 cups cold milk

1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt

1 container 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons powdered sugar, optional

1/4 cup white chocolate shavings or crushed vanilla wafers, optional

Instructions

1. Cut the angel food cake into bite-size cubes and place half of the cubes in an even layer in a 9×13-inch dish.

2. Spoon half of the strawberry pie filling over the cake cubes and gently spread it between the pieces.

3. In a mixing bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.

4. Stir in the sour cream or Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar if using, until smooth and creamy.

5. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the strawberry layer.

6. Add the remaining cake cubes, then spoon the remaining strawberry pie filling over the top.

7. Spread the remaining pudding mixture over the cake and smooth it gently.

8. Spread whipped topping over the dessert, then top with sliced fresh strawberries and optional white chocolate shavings or crushed vanilla wafers.

9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best texture.

10. Serve chilled with a large spoon, scooping deep to get every layer.

Notes

For the best texture, chill the cake overnight so the angel food cake can absorb the strawberry filling and creamy pudding layer.

Use cold milk when making the pudding so it thickens properly before layering.

Add fresh strawberries right before serving if you want the top to look extra bright and fresh.
