Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and cold butter until crumbly. Press into the pan.
3. Bake crust for 18–20 minutes, until lightly golden.
4. While crust bakes, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
5. Stir in chopped pecans.
6. Pour filling over hot crust and spread evenly.
7. Return to oven and bake for 25–30 minutes until center is set.
8. Let cool completely in pan before slicing into 16 bars.
9. For clean edges, chill before cutting.
