Description
These Orange Creamsicle Truffles are a creamy, dreamy no-bake treat that captures the nostalgic flavor of a frozen creamsicle but with a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Made with simple ingredients like white chocolate, orange zest, and heavy cream, these truffles are perfect for parties, holiday trays, or an easy dessert idea. Great for a quick snack, gifting, or citrus-forward food ideas.
Ingredients
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1/4 cup powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
1. In a heatproof bowl over a saucepan (double boiler), melt the white chocolate chips, heavy cream, and butter together until smooth.
2. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest and orange extract. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
3. Cover and chill the mixture in the fridge for at least 2 hours until firm.
4. Scoop small amounts and roll into balls using your hands or a small cookie scoop.
5. Roll each truffle in powdered sugar to coat.
6. Chill again for 30 minutes before serving for best shape and texture.
Notes
Use high-quality white chocolate to avoid a waxy texture.
Make sure your zest is finely grated for better flavor distribution.
If the mixture is too sticky to roll, chill longer or lightly coat your hands with powdered sugar.
