Ingredients
24 Nutter Butter cookies
12 ounces yellow candy melts
48 candy eyes
24 orange rainbow chip sprinkles or mini orange M&Ms
1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional)
1 sheet parchment paper
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set up your decorations.
2. Melt yellow candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil if the coating is too thick.
3. Dip each Nutter Butter cookie into the melted candy using a fork, then let excess drip off. Place on the prepared parchment.
4. While the coating is wet, place two candy eyes near the top and an orange sprinkle or M&M just below to create the beak.
5. Let the chicks set at room temperature or chill in the fridge for faster setting.
Notes
Add vegetable oil gradually if thinning is needed—don’t overdo it.
Work quickly after dipping; the candy coating sets fast.
Store in an airtight container with parchment layers to prevent sticking.
