Ingredients

1 pound ziti pasta

1 pound ground beef

3 cups marinara sauce

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for tossing pasta

Instructions

1. Cook the ziti in salted boiling water until just al dente. Drain and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.

2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the fat and stir in the marinara sauce. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and 1 cup of mozzarella. Stir until smooth.

4. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Add half the ziti, all of the creamy cheese mixture, then the rest of the ziti. Top with remaining meat sauce.

5. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup mozzarella and the Parmesan cheese over the top.

6. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.

7. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Let the dish rest before serving to help it set and slice cleanly.

Use fresh mozzarella and Parmesan for best melting and flavor.

Don’t overcook the pasta—al dente is key for perfect texture after baking.
