If there’s one dish that brings everyone to the table with big smiles and empty plates, it’s this Kielbasa Sausage Cheesy Potato Casserole. Imagine golden, crispy-edged potatoes layered with smoky slices of kielbasa, all blanketed under bubbling, melted cheese. It’s the kind of cozy, feel-good meal that makes you want seconds (or thirds!). This easy recipe is perfect for a quick dinner, potluck comfort food, or hearty breakfast ideas—it’s a must-try cheesy casserole packed with flavor.

Ingredients

1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced

6 cups Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and diced

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup diced onion

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Slice the kielbasa into thin rounds and lightly brown in a skillet for 3–4 minutes over medium heat.

3. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, black pepper, and diced onion until smooth.

4. Add diced potatoes and browned kielbasa into the bowl. Stir until evenly coated.

5. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.

6. Dot with butter pieces and bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbling and golden.

Notes

For faster prep, you can use thawed frozen diced potatoes instead of fresh.

Try mixing cheddar with Monterey Jack or Colby cheese for a flavor blend.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
