Description

These Instant Pot Hot Chocolate Bombs are a dreamy DIY treat that’s equal parts fun and cozy. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, these chocolate spheres melt into rich, creamy cocoa when hot milk is poured over—revealing a surprise of marshmallows and cocoa mix inside. With the help of your Instant Pot, tempering chocolate becomes simple and foolproof, making this a standout dessert idea for winter, a sweet edible gift, or a cozy night in. Great for easy recipe lovers, festive food ideas, or anyone exploring homemade dessert inspiration.

Ingredients

12 oz couverture chocolate

6 tbsp hot cocoa mix

36 mini marshmallows

Valentine’s sprinkles or edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

1. Set your Instant Pot to the Sous Vide mode at 90°F (32°C) and place a medium heatproof bowl over water inside the pot.

2. Chop 12 oz of chocolate. Melt 10 oz in the bowl, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 oz to temper.

3. Coat silicone sphere molds with melted chocolate using a spoon. Chill for 10 minutes. Repeat for a second coat and chill again.

4. Gently unmold chocolate halves. Fill 6 of them with 1 tbsp cocoa mix and 6 mini marshmallows each.

5. Warm a plate and gently press the edges of empty halves to slightly melt. Attach to filled halves to seal.

6. Decorate with melted chocolate drizzle and sprinkles or glitter. Let them firm completely before using or packaging.

Notes

Use a second coat of chocolate in the mold to prevent breakage.

Let the chocolate cool slightly before sealing to avoid cracks.

Add food-grade glitter while chocolate drizzle is still wet for best effect.
