Ingredients
0.25 cup brown sugar
0.25 cup water
1 pinch ground cinnamon
2 shots espresso
0.75 cup milk (any kind)
0.5 cup ice
Instructions
1. Combine brown sugar, water, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved, then cool.
2. Brew 2 shots of espresso. Pour into a jar or shaker with 2 tablespoons syrup and ice.
3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until frothy.
4. Warm the milk in a saucepan or microwave until steaming, not boiling.
5. Strain the shaken espresso into a mug, discarding ice.
6. Top with the warm milk, stir, and dust with cinnamon if desired.
Notes
Use a jar with a lid if you don’t have a cocktail shaker.
Store leftover syrup in the fridge for up to a week.
Oat milk gives the richest texture, but any milk works great.
