Description

Holiday Seven Layer Bars are a colorful, gooey, easy dessert made with a buttery graham cracker crust, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, pecans, sweetened condensed milk, and festive candies. This easy recipe is perfect for Christmas baking, holiday dessert trays, party food ideas, make-ahead treats, and sweet snack bars everyone can grab and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

3/4 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

3/4 cup red and green candy-coated chocolates

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.

2. Stir the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together until evenly moistened.

3. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.

4. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and white chocolate chips evenly over the crust.

5. Add the shredded coconut, chopped pecans, and red and green candy-coated chocolates over the top.

6. Slowly drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly across the whole pan, making sure it reaches the corners.

7. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if using.

8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling and the coconut is lightly golden.

9. Cool completely in the pan, then chill for cleaner slices.

10. Lift the bars out with the parchment paper and cut into 24 squares.

Notes

Cool the bars completely before slicing so the condensed milk layer has time to set.

For cleaner cuts, chill the bars for 20 to 30 minutes and wipe the knife between slices.

Swap pecans with walnuts, almonds, or crushed pretzels for a different texture.
