Description

Easy Pecan Pie Brownies are a rich, fudgy dessert layered with gooey pecan pie topping for the ultimate sweet treat. This easy recipe is perfect for holiday dessert tables, party food ideas, fall baking, Thanksgiving dessert spreads, and anytime you need crowd-pleasing brownie bars with chocolate and pecans.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup packed brown sugar

3 large eggs

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until glossy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until smooth.

4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.

6. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the top is mostly set but the center is still slightly soft.

7. While the brownies bake, make the pecan topping by whisking together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl.

8. Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly coated.

9. Remove the brownie layer from the oven and carefully pour the pecan topping over the warm brownies. Spread it gently into an even layer.

10. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the topping is glossy and mostly set.

11. Cool completely in the pan for at least 2 hours before slicing.

12. For cleaner cuts, chill the brownies briefly, then slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Let the brownies cool fully before slicing so the pecan topping sets properly.

Toast the pecans first if you want a deeper, nuttier flavor.

Use a sharp knife wiped clean between cuts for neat brownie squares.
