Ingredients
16 cooked meatballs
16 fresh mozzarella balls
16 cherry tomatoes
16 fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
16 mini wooden skewers or toothpicks
Instructions
1. Heat the cooked meatballs according to package directions or your homemade recipe.
2. Allow the meatballs to cool slightly so they are easier to handle during assembly.
3. Take a skewer and thread on one cherry tomato, followed by one folded basil leaf, one mozzarella ball, and one meatball.
4. Repeat the process until all skewers are assembled.
5. Arrange skewers on a serving platter.
6. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top of the skewers just before serving.
7. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!
Notes
If your basil leaves are large, fold them in half before threading to fit neatly on the skewer.
For an added kick, try brushing the meatballs with a little pesto before assembling.
These can be assembled up to 4 hours ahead and stored in the fridge; just add glaze right before serving.
