Description

Wrapped in golden puff pastry and filled with creamy brie, this Easy Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie makes the perfect crowd-pleasing holiday appetizer. The sweet and tart cranberry topping, rich maple syrup, and toasted pecans bring festive flavor to every bite. Whether you’re after quick party food, holiday appetizer ideas, or simple but elegant cheese recipes, this dish fits beautifully.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 wheel (8 oz) brie cheese

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/4 cup chopped pecans

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Toast chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until fragrant and slightly darkened. Set aside.

2. In a small saucepan, combine cranberries and maple syrup over low heat. Warm until cranberries soften and syrup thickens slightly. Stir in pecans and remove from heat.

3. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Place brie in the center and top with cranberry pecan mixture.

4. Fold pastry over the top to enclose the brie completely. Press gently to seal, then flip seam-side down onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. Refrigerate the wrapped brie for 20 minutes to help hold its shape while baking.

6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush pastry with beaten egg. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.

7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with crackers, fruits, or on its own.

Notes

Make sure the puff pastry is thawed but still cold when wrapping the brie to prevent tearing.

Chilling the wrapped brie before baking helps the pastry stay crisp and hold its shape.

Letting it rest after baking prevents the cheese from spilling out and helps with clean slicing.
