Description

Start your morning with the ultimate indulgence: a buttery, soft Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cake. This easy recipe delivers all the swirly, gooey, cinnamon-sugar magic of a classic cinnamon roll in the form of a moist, crowd-pleasing cake. It’s perfect as a quick breakfast, easy dessert, or cozy brunch treat—making it one of the best breakfast ideas for weekends, holidays, or anytime you need a sweet comfort fix.

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups whole milk

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2/3 cup unsalted butter, melted (for swirl)

2 cups powdered sugar

5 tablespoons whole milk (for glaze)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, then pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

4. Stir in 1/2 cup melted butter into the batter.

5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and 2/3 cup melted butter to create the cinnamon swirl.

6. Pour batter into the prepared dish, spoon cinnamon mixture over top, and swirl with a knife.

7. Bake for 32–35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

8. While the cake is still warm, whisk together powdered sugar, 5 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla to make the glaze.

9. Drizzle glaze generously over the warm cake before serving.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter once the wet ingredients are added.

For extra gooey swirls, double the cinnamon filling.

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before glazing to prevent the glaze from completely melting.
