Description

This Cheesy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip is a hot, bubbly, crowd-pleasing appetizer loaded with creamy cheese, tender spinach, savory artichokes, garlic, and a golden melted topping. It is an easy recipe for parties, game day snacks, holiday food ideas, quick appetizers, dinner ideas, and cozy sharing boards when you want something warm, cheesy, and simple to make.

Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

14 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

2. Squeeze the thawed spinach very dry, then drain, pat dry, and chop the artichoke hearts.

3. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice until smooth.

4. Fold in the spinach, artichokes, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1/4 cup Parmesan until evenly combined.

5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan.

6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.

7. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm with bread, crackers, chips, or vegetables.

Notes

Squeeze the spinach very well so the dip stays thick, creamy, and scoopable.

Let the cream cheese soften before mixing to avoid lumps in the creamy base.

For a more golden top, broil the dip for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching closely.
