Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup caramel sauce
1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
4 Butterfinger candy bars, crushed
Instructions
1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the package instructions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
2. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
4. Drizzle the caramel sauce on top of the cake.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens.
6. Spread the pudding evenly over the caramel layer on the cake.
7. Spread the whipped topping gently over the pudding layer.
8. Crush the Butterfinger bars and sprinkle them generously over the top.
9. Lightly press the candy into the whipped topping so it sticks.
10. Cover and refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Make sure the cake is slightly warm when you pour the condensed milk so it absorbs better.
Use cold milk for the pudding to ensure it thickens properly.
The cake tastes even better the next day after chilling overnight.
