Ingredients
1 ½ pounds baby carrots
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
½ teaspoon salt
â…› teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Add carrots, butter, brown sugar, garlic, and water to a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Stir to coat everything evenly and bring to a gentle simmer.
3. Cover the skillet and cook for 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
4. Remove lid, increase heat slightly, and stir often as the glaze begins to reduce.
5. Continue cooking uncovered for 5–7 minutes, until carrots are tender and the glaze is thick.
6. Turn off heat, add chopped parsley, and stir to combine.
7. Serve immediately with extra glaze spooned over the top.
Notes
Use light brown sugar for balanced sweetness, or dark brown sugar for deeper flavor.
If glaze reduces too quickly, add a splash more water to loosen it.
Fresh parsley adds a pop of color and freshness—don’t skip it!
