Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Warm the milk until lukewarm, then combine with yeast, sugar, melted butter, egg, and flour. Knead until the dough is smooth and soft. Let it rise until doubled in size.
2. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with softened butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly, then top with blueberries. Gently press them into the dough.
3. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 9 to 12 even rolls. Place in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
4. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
Use fresh blueberries for best results, but frozen work too—just don’t thaw them first.
Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place for optimal fluffiness.
You can prep the rolls the night before and bake them fresh in the morning.
