Description

These Banana Pudding Brownies are creamy, chewy, and packed with nostalgic banana pudding flavor in every bite. This easy dessert recipe combines a buttery banana brownie base, a smooth pudding swirl, crunchy vanilla wafers, and a sweet bakery-style finish, making it perfect for party desserts, potluck food ideas, family gatherings, easy baking days, and fun dessert ideas.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 medium ripe banana, mashed

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 package instant banana pudding mix, 3.4 ounces

1/2 cup powdered sugar

3 tablespoons milk

1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers

1/3 cup white chocolate chips, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the parchment.

2. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed banana. Whisk until creamy and well combined.

4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt just until no dry streaks remain.

5. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

6. Add the banana pudding mix, powdered sugar, and milk to the cream cheese. Beat until thick, creamy, and spreadable.

7. Spread most of the banana brownie batter into the prepared pan.

8. Spoon the banana pudding filling over the batter in dollops, then add the remaining brownie batter on top.

9. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the batter and filling together.

10. Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers and white chocolate chips over the top.

11. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is just set.

12. Cool completely, then chill for cleaner slices before cutting into squares.

Notes

Let the brownies cool completely before slicing so the creamy pudding layer has time to set.

Use a ripe banana with brown spots for the sweetest banana flavor and the smoothest texture.

Do not over-swirl the pudding filling, because visible ribbons make the brownies prettier and creamier.
