Description

These Baked Cinnamon Twists with Crescent Rolls are a quick breakfast, easy dessert, and one of those simple food ideas that always feels special. Made with buttery crescent roll dough, cinnamon, sugar, and a light glaze, they bake up golden, flaky, and perfect for breakfast ideas, brunch spreads, easy recipe cravings, and sweet snack moments.

Ingredients

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently press the seams together to form one sheet.

3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.

4. Brush the dough evenly with melted butter.

5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture all over the dough.

6. Cut the dough into even strips using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.

7. Twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet with a little space between each one.

8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown and lightly puffed.

9. Let the twists cool for 5 minutes.

10. Whisk the powdered sugar and milk together, then drizzle the glaze over the warm twists before serving.

Notes

Press the dough seams together well so the twists hold their shape while baking.

If the dough gets too soft, chill the cut strips for 5 to 10 minutes before twisting.

For the best texture, serve these warm the same day they are baked.
